The Old Tobago Airport Transit Lounge

The Transit Lounge at the preceding Tobago Airport is a specialized outfitting project designed to elevate the traveler’s journey through strategic furniture curation and spatial harmony. Tasked with transforming a pre-existing transit environment, we focused on selecting pieces that balance commercial-grade durability with a sophisticated, residential-inspired comfort. The result is a high-traffic zone that feels less like a terminal and more like a curated sanctuary, grounded in a palette of organic tones and modern textures.

The layout utilizes a thoughtful positioning strategy to maximize flow while maintaining pockets of privacy. We outfitted the space with ergonomic, mid-century-inspired seating in cool slate and warm mustard hues, paired with sleek, low-profile accent tables. Integrated natural wood textures and vibrant tropical greenery serve as essential accents, reflecting the island’s local character while softening the industrial architecture of the airport. From the custom-arranged modular clusters to the precision-placed lighting accents, this project demonstrates our ability to deliver turnkey interior solutions that enhance the user experience in complex, high-visibility public infrastructures.
